Ramisha Maliha
Ramisha Maliha is a Public Health Professional and a Policy Analyst with more than 3 years of experience. She is currently employed as a Policy Analyst with the Ministry of Health at the Government of Alberta (Alberta Health) in the Primary Care Division, where she supports policy projects to modernize Alberta’s Primary Care System (MAPS) initiatives to support Alberta’s primary care transformation efforts. She also worked in the Ministry of Jobs, Economy and Trade; and Ministry of Mental Health and Addiction, prior to joining Health Workforce at Alberta Health.
Ramisha has a background in policy and public health, with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) specializing in Health Policy and Management from the University of Alberta, Canada. She also obtained another MPH degree specializing in Epidemiology at the North South University. She is a former Physician, and has a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ramisha is currently pursing the designation of ‘Certified Health Executive’ from the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL). The CCHL’s CHE is Canada’s health leadership designation, and the designation recognizes effective leadership in the Canadian health system. Ramisha is a former Health Journalist. She worked in The Daily Star, a leading English daily newspaper in Bangladesh. Apart from that she also served as a Lecturer of Physiology in Dhaka Community Medical College.
Ramisha has experience in implementing and managing public health projects, which he gained through working in several organizations, such as volunteering as a Research & Policy Analyst at the Centre for Research, Innovation, and Development Action, a non-profit in Canada. She previously worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Public Health at the North South University.
In regards to professional affiliation, Ramisha is an active member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Ramisha co-founded a non-profit volunteer organization called ACTIVE ACTION, through which she promotes professional development, and health and social awareness. She published several research articles in some of the renowned international peer-reviewed journals.
